I still remember the time years ago when I was so excited to find sugar snap peas listed as approved for Phase One for the (original) South Beach Diet! And now that I’m following more of a carb-conscious approach to eating they’re one of my favorite low-carb snacks. And I love to use them as an ingredient in salads and stir-fries as well.

You can get them in a huge bag if you shop at Costco, but the one-pound size above from Kroger is the one I buy most often, and this is something I almost always have in my fridge. And Sugar Snap Peas are something I feel is always a healthy choice, whether I’m eating them as an ingredient in a recipe or just as a snack, and they definitely qualify to be one of my Kalyn’s Kitchen Picks.
